Getting back on track

I've taken time out from detailing my recent journey with the Lightning Process, just to keep you a bit more up to date with what's happening lately, and to inspire you, so that you can dream of what it will be like for you, when you have done the Lightning Process Training and recovered from your symptoms.

Just back from doing a Lightning Process course in Bergen last week & was able to add a trip to an open-air concert to see the Eagles play live in concert & ski on a glacier …

Fantastic feeling putting on the skis again and marvelling at the beauty around, 1st time going up a mountain & skiing with gorgeous fiords in the foreground ..
The skiing was fantastic .. ski technology has moved on with fancy carver skis being used.
About to run another Lightning Process course next week in Bournemouth & planning on one in Northern Ireland at the end of the month.

I'll get back to my journey in the next blog, but if you're inspired to make a difference in your life then contact me now on 01202 269 972 to discuss how the Lightning Process can help you.

Lightning Process Training Course

I arrived on the first day of the Lightning Process Training Course, exhausted as usual, along with a number of other CFS sufferers. My life changed that first afternoon. I went home and did my homework, and was able to walk up a hill for the first time in 6 years. It felt fantastic, although I was a little worried about what this might cost me the next day. In fact, I woke up a new man; I had refreshed sleep and woke up at 6 am with energy and wanting to run. I got up and walked and walked, for some reason singing Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best”! A lead weight had been lifted from me; I felt alive & energetic. The subsequent days got better and better and I’ve never looked back since. I never used my electric scooter again and my carer was given a month’s notice.

Lightning Process trainer
I was so impressed with the process that I decided I would make one other person better from this ghastly illness. I have undertaken a full year course to qualify as a Lightning Process trainer, and have also studied NLP, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

Next week I’ll explain how I’ve not looked back since and how running Lightning Process training courses to help others has changed my life. In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more then please visit my website

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

In September 2005, I treated myself to an electric scooter. It was as instant success. Previously, I would go to the beach and sit on a bench while Marie walked on her own, but now we could do little trips together. I described it as watching a film rather than looking at the poster outside the cinema.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming
I had, some time before, come across Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and began to investigate how it might be applied to my situation. I began an Adult Education course in September 2005 and was blown away with the techniques and was also inspired by the content and the tutor.

Jeremy Vine
In February 2006, while listening to Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show, I heard a feature on the ‘Lightning Process’. I had looked into it a few years before but this was a person live on the radio talking about how great it was. Radio 2 had a follow-up in April, which was also very positive. I later tracked down people before and after they had taken part and I was determined to give it a go. We decided to make our holiday out of going on the Lightning Process training program (so called because it is so quick) about 12 hours over a three-day period.
Next week I’ll describe to you how the Lightning Process changed my life. In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more then please visit my website

Potential cures for CFS ME

My story continues, with what was the most difficult time for me on this journey.
I was to learn, all too soon, that there is no known cure for CFS and there is little understanding of the disease, either in the medical profession or the wider public. Dr Weir had two main therapies, rest and Transcendental Meditation (which I hold in very high regard and still practice today). I was extremely fortunate that my local GP was forward-thinking enough to try both traditional and alternative therapies (including acupuncture and Vitamin B12 injections) and in providing funds for me to attend two residential courses.

From the very beginning I cast about seeking potential cures and therapies, in both traditional and alternative medicine. In addition to being a genuine search for help, I was also very consciously trying to avoid an ‘invalid mentality’.

My search for the positve outcome I was so desperate for continues in next weeks instalment. In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more then please visit my website

My story about recovering from ME

Hi,

I’d like to share with you my journey with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (or more commonly M.E.). Over the next few weeks, I will publish my story of how I overcame the Illness and how I know devote my life helping other people recover from theirs.

My story starts back in June 1999, and I’m honeymooning with my wife, Marie, on the idyllic island paradise of Mauritius… A perfect location for a perfect holiday… but, after the first week, I started to feel increasingly unwell. I was diagnosed as having gastroenteritis, which quickly developed into hepatitis. I knew things were serious when it took 10 days to recover sufficiently to fly home. However, I was reassured by the doctor’s instruction to …”take it easy & you will be better by Christmas!”

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
On St Patrick’s Day, 17th March 2000, I was diagnosed by Dr William Weir at the Royal Free Hospital, as having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (or more commonly M.E.). The main symptoms were fatigue, muscle pain, brain fog and feeling overwhelmed. Strangely, I was relieved, believing that surely in today’s advanced medical times what can be named can be cured. Why not this?

Next week I’ll tell you more about my successful journey. In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more then please visit my website
